It is extremely important that you familiarize yourself with the community you would like to purchase in. If you see a property that you are interested in, you should take the initiative to drive by the property to ensure this is a property you would be interested in seeing, living in, etc.

Have Reasonable Expectations

Be honest with yourself when it comes to what your budget is. Do not attempt to look at properties outside of your price range, unless you are able to make up the monetary difference.
